Hybrid kernel search and particle swarm optimization with Cauchy perturbation for economic emission load dispatch with valve point effect

Due to growing concerns over environmental protection, economic and environmentally responsible power dispatching has become a hot topic in the field of system control. Multi-objective optimization minimizes fuel costs pollution emissions without violating operational constraints. To solve this problem, MOP is decomposed into individual objects via weighted sum method, Newton’s method used tackle equality constraints iteratively. end, hybrid algorithm (HKSOPSO-CP) based on kernel search (KSO) particle swarm (PSO) with Cauchy perturbation proposed paper. An experiment 23 CEC benchmark functions shows that HKSOPSO-CP offers better performance compared various popular algorithms recent years. When employed IEEE standard emission dispatch (EED) problems 6, 10, 40, 110 units, produces results indicating trade-off between objectives relating other have recently been reported literature.
